The integrity of your vehicle lies in its frame. Vehicles are mainly built on one of two frames: unibody or body-on-frame. A unibody frame is where the frame and body are one piece; it is most common in sedans and crossovers/small SUVs. Body-on-frame is where the frame and body are separate pieces, with the body attached on top of the frame. The separation between the two pieces proves to be beneficial for towing and hauling, which is why this frame is primarily found in large SUVs and pickup trucks. By way of design, unibody frames are structurally stronger than body-on-frame and easier to fix. Because we work on all makes and models in our auto body shop, we have experience in repairing both unibody and body-on-frame vehicles.
